Job Description

Position Summary: resolving title curative issues according to underwriting and/or internal guidelines Essential Duties: - Review title commitment and understand curative process - Prepare Preliminary Alta Settlement Statement to provide accurate title fees - Prioritize daily work to ensure Client SLA’s are met for each metric assigned during the curative process - Meet/exceed daily metric goals assigned by the Manager of Title Curative - Performs title curative functions such as obtaining mortgage payoffs, judgment payoffs, validation of current taxes - Performs more complex functions including obtaining releases for prior liens, reviewing divorce decrees, trusts and corporate documents - Communicate professionally with customer, borrower(s) and third affiliated companies to obtain curative complete status - Complete actions related to the curative process within the operating system - Communicate and/or escalate curative issues to management - Review legal description to ensure insurability - Ensure title requirements have been met for the issuance of the policy Other Responsibilities: - Assist Manager, as requested - Focus on quality, and reduce errors to less than 5% of work produced - Arrive at work on or before your scheduled start time - excel in a team environment, and assist the team meet the overall monthly goal

    Skills and Expertise

      - Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word - General Computer Navigation Skills - 1-5 years experience with real estate titles, deed preparation, and curative processing - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. - Time management and creative problem solving is a plus - Strong organizational skills - On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, Consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the functional area. -Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills. Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: One years college or equivalent work experience Certification: No Requirements Experience: One years of related experience required. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience. Salary: This is subject to change based on education and experience level. Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Overtime required at times COVID-19 considerations: All candidates must be comfortable coming into the office for an in person interview, training process and over all job functions.
