Job Description

- Prepare Deeds in States where a title company can prepare in-house • Review on-line WIP to determine deeds to be prepared/sent to client • Prioritize deeds by due date based on the SLA provided by the client • Obtain information required to prepare deed from the title commitment and sales contract • Review legal description for errors etc. • Input data into select fields outlined on the deed • Once the deed is prepared, send through the QC / QC process for final review • Once approved, submit deed to client • Upon receipt of signed seller deed, upload to system and complete events in operating system • Review deeds prepared by other team members - Order Deeds in States where an Attorney must prepare the deed: • Review on-line WIP to determine deeds to be ordered/sent to client • Prioritize deeds by due date based on the SLA provided by the client • Obtain information required to prepare deed from the title commitment and sales contract • Review legal description for errors etc. • Complete the Attorney form required to complete deed, and send to Attorney • Follow-up with Attorney until draft deed is received • Once the deed is prepared, send through the QC / QC process for final review • Once approved, submit deed to client • Upon receipt of signed seller deed, upload to system and complete events in operating system

    Skills and Expertise

      Skills & Abilities: - Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word. - 1+ years of Document/Deed Prep required - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. - Time management a plus - Strong organizational skills Decision Making: -On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the functional area. Authority: -May oversee or coordinate the work of others. Communication: -Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills. Education: -Required: High School Diploma or GED -Preferred: Two years college or equivalent work experience Experience: -One year of related experience required. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.
